Saucy Fish Co. announces listing in Waitrose stores nationwide

Along with the announcement of two new products, Icelandic Group's UK brand, Saucy Fish Co., has announced its new listing in Waitrose stores nationwide from January 29.

Five products will be available to buy, including two brand new fish and sauce combinations - seabream with orange and fennel sauce and cod fillets with sunblush tomato dressing.

Also in September Saucy Fish was relisted by Tesco after having dropped the Seachill-produced branded range on April 5.

The retailer rolled out the seven products - three fish and sauce; two ready-to-eat; and two types of fish cakes - in 1,000 stores, said Simon Smith, sales and marketing director for Icelandic Group's UK division, parent company of Seachill.

The fish and sauce products listing in Tesco are salmon with chili and lime and ginger, seabass with beurre blanc, and cod with Welsh rarebit. Then, there are two ready-to-eat enjoy products and two fish cakes, the salmon and cod and the haddock and Davidstow cheddar.

Tesco, the first retailer to launch the product, back in 2010, had dropped Saucy Fish in favour of Fish in a Flash, a range produced by Farne Salmon & Trout, the retailer's smoked salmon supplier.

Asda, meanwhile, does not stock Saucy Fish, as it stocks Young's Seafood range 'The Funky Fish Kitchen'.
