High input costs hold sulphate additives prices stable in China
 
 
Cupric sulphate
 
As copper futures prices remained soft, cupric sulphate producers cut prices in a bid to move sales while feed millers stockpile inventories before Chinese New Year holidays.
 
Demand is expected to soften as most feed millers have secured sufficient supplies to last during Chinese New Year holidays. Price of cupric sulphate are seen stable to lower before mid-February.
 
 
Zinc sulphate
 
Zinc futures prices were stable but lacked the momentum to strengthen further. Hence, zinc sulphate producers kept prices low during the second half of January to entice buyers.
 
On producer is expected to halt operation for maintenance purpose, hence tightening the supplies of zinc sulphate. This will lend some support to the market although demand is poised to weaken in the following period.
 
 
Manganese sulphate
 
On producer is expected to halt operation for maintenance purpose, hence tightening the supplies of zinc sulphate. This will lend some support to the market although demand is poised to weaken in the following period.
 
Tight availability of manganese ore will keep its prices and hence those of manganese sulphate firm.
 
 
Ferrous sulphate
 
Prices of ferrous sulphate remained firm amid limited availability, which was the result of low supplies of raw ingredients. However, the market failed to strengthen further as several buyers turned cautious after prices increased previously.
 
Tight supplies will continue to keep the prices of ferrous sulphate firm in the coming weeks.
