China's Kiwa Bio-Tech reports 25-percent rise in animal feed output

Kiwa Bio-Tech Products Group Corporation reported that the volume of bio-enhanced feed products sold during the fourth quarter of 2007 rose 25 percent on-year.

Tianjin Kiwa Feed (Kiwa Tianjin) is a joint-venture of Kiwa and Tianjin Challenge Feed, which engages in developing, manufacturing and marketing of biologically enhanced feed for pigs, chickens, ducks, cows and fish.

In the last quarter of 2007, Kiwa Tianjin sold over 7,600 tonnes of bio-enhanced feed, a 25-percent increase over the 6,100 tonnes sold on 2006.

Wei Li, the chief executive officer of Kiwa said that the strong sales performance indicates both the huge potential of China's agricultural markets, and Kiwa's capability to continue to expand its business.

Kiwa Bio-Tech develops, manufactures, distributes and markets bio-technological products for agricultural and natural resources and environmental conservation.

The company has acquired the rights to manufacture and market AF-01 Anti-viral Aerosol Agent, used for preventing bird-flu in Chinese and international markets.
