Japan's farm ministry confirms H5N1 bird flu at poultry farm
 

Dozens of chickens at a poultry farm in western Japan died of the H5N1 strain of bird flu, the Agriculture Ministry confirmed Wednesday.

The bird flu outbreak in Okayama prefecture was the third one so far this year in Japan involving the H5N1 strain.

Officials are still trying to determine whether another outbreak of bird flu, in southern Japan, is also H5N1.
