Japan purchases 150,191 tonnes of wheat for March shipment
Japan purchased 150,191 metric tonnes of milling wheat in a tender on Friday (Jan 27), according to a senior government official.
The government bought the wheat in three grades for March's bulk shipment, said the official with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Japan has purchased 474,705 tonnes for March shipment.
Japan, one of the world's largest wheat importers by volume, purchases milling wheat from the US, Canada and Australia.
