Russia maintains 2011 purchasing prices for 2012 grains

 
 

Russia's Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation draws up threshold levels for minimum grain prices to remain at 2011 prices after realisation of the public purchasing interventions this year.

 

Depending on regions and types of grains, prices vary within the range of RUB3,900-5,000/tonnes (US$128.34-US$164.53), according to the Decree of the Ministry dated back on December 8, 2011.

 

In particular, the price of 3-grade milling wheat: Central, North-western, Volga, North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts will total RUB5,000/tonnes (US$164.53/tonnes). In the Urals, Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts at RUB4,700/tonnes (US$154.66/tonnes). The price of 4-grade milling wheat is at RUB4,650/tonnes (US$153.02/tonnes) and RUB4,450/tonnes (US$146.43/tonnes), respectively, forbu 5-grade wheat at RUB4,300/tonnes (US$141.50/tonnes) and RUB4,100/tonnes (US$134.92/tonnes), depending on the region.

 

In all regions the price of milling rye of A group was approved at RUB3,900/tonnes (US$128.34/tonnes), feed barley at RUB 4,000/tonnes (US$131.63/tonnes) and 3-grade maize at RUB4,400/tonnes (US$144.79/tonnes).
