US grocery chain Meijer to build US$100-million dairy plant in US

In an aim to manufacture milk, as well as other dairy products that will be catered to its stores, Meijer, an American grocery chain, is planning to develop a new US$100 million dairy production plant in Tipp City of Miami County, Ohio.
The plant is expected to create new jobs, by employing around 103 people, the company claims.
Meijer spokesman Frank Guglielmi confirmed the announcement, however declined to comment further.
Meijer operates grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. It offers various products in the areas of fresh produce and meat, baby and toddler, clothing and accessories, crafts and art supplies, electronics and computers, furniture and home products, garden and outdoor.
