Craig Mostyn Group secures piggery deal

Paspaley Group had reportedly sold the West Australian Great Southern Pig Company to the Craig Mostyn Group.

The deal, which will add 2,000 sows to the Craig Mostyn Group's existing pig enterprises, is seen as a lucrative one because free range animal production is in demand, said David Lock, Craig Mostyn chief executive.

Lock said the free range market for pigs in Australia is growing.

The Great Southern Pig Company has one of the largest outdoor piggeries. It has operations based in Narrogin and Albany.
