Big Dutchman acquires majority shares of Poultry Management Systems Inc.

Poultry and swine production equipment provider Big Dutchman has acquired a majority stake in Poultry Management Systems, Inc. (PMSI), which holds the majority of the market share in the United States and Canada in computer controls for the egg production industry.

PMSI, located in Saranac, Michigan, was founded in 1980 by Stephen Herbruck, who will remain a shareholder and chairman of the board of directors. Doug Powell, its president, will maintain his position. PMSI will continue its operations in Saranac and will continue to operate as a fully independent company.

"The similarities between Big Dutchman and PMSI led us to make this acquisition," says Clovis Rayzel, President of Big Dutchman, Inc.

Big Dutchman, a leader in poultry and pig production equipment, has its global headquarters located in Vechta, Germany. The headquarters for the Americas are located in Holland, Michigan.
