US soybean crush numbers fall in December 2004

The US Census Bureau reported that soybean crush at US mills totaled 150.03 million bushels in December, a fall from 151.11 million bushels in the previous month and above the 145.8 million bushels in December 2003.

Oil stocks totaled 1,290,044 thousand pounds, up from 1,191,471 thousand pounds in November, but below the previous year's 892,757 thousand pounds.

Meal stocks were reported at 271,306 short tons, down from the previous month of 286,837 and the previous year of 280,664 short tons.
