China's pesticide sector did not progress in 2011
After the H1 2011 performance of several local listed agrochemical firms has been reviewed, such as Jiangsu Huifeng, Qianjiang Biochemical and Huaxing Chemical, it has been concluded that the whole pesticide sector in China has not improved.
Although the export volume of fungicides in China has soared up to a certain extent from January to July of 2011, its export proportion is much less than that of herbicides and insecticides. Compared with herbicides and insecticides, Chinese export varieties of fungicides are fewer.
Triazole fungicides have been playing an increasingly important role in the disease control on various crops, ranking the first place by market value among all categories of fungicides in China in 2010. In particular, the domestic consumption of triazole fungicides has increased by 10.5% in 2010 compared with that of the previous year, and will continue growing in the future.
