Russian swine affected by ASF outbreak
Russian veterinary authorities have reported that pigs in Volgogradskaya Oblast have been infected by the African swine fever (ASF) in a new outbreak.
The World Organisation for Animal Health received follow-up report no.49 on Monday, January, 24.
According to the report, a total of 20 animals were found susceptible to the disease. While six of the affected animals died, the remaining 16 were destroyed.
The source of the ASF outbreak is to date under investigation.
