MHP's 2010 poultry production climbs 26%

MHP, Ukraine's major agricultural producer, increased its 2010 poultry meat output by 26% to 360,000 tonnes, according to preliminary data issued by the company on Tuesday (Jan 25).

In 2009, MHP, which focuses on production of meat, grain and other foods, produced 285,000 tonnes of poultry meat.

MHP has said it was likely to maintain its 2011 poultry production at last year's level. The company said it planned to invest about US$350 million in 2011 in the construction of a new poultry complex in central Ukraine, which could help the company to boost production.
