China's fishmeal import volume down in December
China imported 53,120 tonnes of fishmeal in December, down 20.8 percent from October.
Peru (23,577 tonnes), Chile (12,054 tonnes) and the US (7,794 tonnes) were the main exporters of fishmeal to China during the month in review.
Cumulative January-December 2007 imports of fishmeal were at 966,352 tonnes, down 1.3 percent compared with 2006.
