China fishmeal imports up 7.9 percent in December 2005
China imported 38,820 tonnes of fishmeal in December 2005, up 7.9 percent from the previous month, and a 52.8 percent fall compared with the same period in 2004.
The December 2005 imports came mostly from:
Chile: 20,816 tonnes;
Myanmar: 4,120 tonnes;
Peru: 3,263 tonnes.
From January to December 2005, China's fishmeal imports totalled 1,580,480 tonnes.
