China's lysine imports down 385 MT; exports up by 652 MT in December

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported 6,550 metric tons of lysine in December 2004, down by 385 metric tons from November. In the month of December, China mainly imported lysine from Indonesia, Thailand and the United States.

 

From January to December 2004, China's accumulative lysine imports totaled 76,100 metric tons, a rise of 612 metric tons compared with imports of 75,488 metric tons in the same period of 2003.

 

Export  
 

China exported 2,212 metric tons of lysine in December 2004, up by 652 metric tons compared with November's exports of 1,560 metric tons.

                                                        

In the month of December, China's lysine products were mainly exported to the Netherlands, Belgium and Australia.

 

From January to December 2004, China's accumulative lysine exports totaled 22,924 metric tons, up by 180% compared with the exports of 8,196 metric tons in the same period of 2003.
