Several fishmeal dealers, who were in need of cash with Chinese New Year approaching, cut prices in efforts to entice buyers. Nonetheless, trade remained slow as feed millers were reluctant to use fishmeal unless necessary due to its high costs. The prices of prime grade products were soft at RMB14,000-14,200/tonnes.
