Ukraine temporarily bans dairy imports from Belarus
A temporary restriction on dairy imports from three Belarusian companies was imposed by Ukraine since January 21, 2013.
As the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine press service informed, the three Belarusian companies are: Babushkina Krynka (Grandma's Jug) dairy company, Dairy Products Company and Orshansky Dairy Plant.
"The results of the laboratory tests, carried out by the State Scientific Research Institute of laboratory diagnostics and veterinary-sanitary examination, established the non-correspondence of the dairy products of these enterprises with Ukrainian safety standards on the microbiological and physico-chemical parameters," the statement reads.
The temporary ban may be cancelled "after the Belarusian party takes appropriate measures and inspection of the mentioned companies."
