Rusagro to put up US$670-million pig farm
Rusagro will construct a pig farm worth over RUB20 billion (US$670.92 million) in the Chelyabinsk Region in the Urals, the regional governor said on Monday (Jan 24).
The farm is designed to produce over 90,000 tonnes of pork annually, the press office said.
The pig farm will consist of 32 stand-alone units to enhance the farm's veterinary and sanitary safety.
Rusagro will also build a powerful combined fodder production facility with a capacity of 60 tonnes per hour, and a slaughter and processing facility.
The investor has undertaken to pay at least 20% of the project's cost with its own funds.
