South Korea tops Vietnam dried seafood imports

Among major markets importing Vietnam dried seafood, South Korea market always stands at the top position.

According to The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP), December 2009 alone Vietnam exported over 1.8 thousand tonnes of dried seafood worth nearly US$6 million, up by 99.6% in volume and 24.5% in value compared to the same period in 2008.

In 2009, South Korea, ASEAN, China, Japan, Taiwan were major markets importing Vietnamese dried seafood, accounting for over 80% the whole country's export market share. In which, South Korea tops with 11,697 tonnes worth US$59.115 million (till December 15, 2009).
