Ukraine must develop infrastructure to boost grain exports

Further growth of grain export volumes is impossible for Ukraine unless the country develops its infrastructure, especially sea and river elevators.

Half of large-scale domestic grain exporters have their own grain shipment complexes at the ports. Elevators with large capacities are valuable assets for owners, because they allow owners to compete for the vertical integration and diversification of the grain business while enabling grain loading and storing services to competitors.

Investments in the infrastructure will allow Ukraine to further develop its own influence on the world grain market and maximise the potential of the agrarian industry.
