Malaysian food processors eye Vietnam market

A number of Malaysian enterprises are seeking food processing joint business ventures in Vietnam's southern provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Duong.

According to Dao Tran Nhan, head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade's Asia-Pacific Market Department, the demand for halal food for Muslim is rising in 2010 so Vietnamese food companies should take the chances.

Data by the department showed that demands for Vietnamese goods such as instant noodles and food are big in Malaysia.
