New CEO for Creekstone Farms

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef announced the appointment of Dennis Buhlke as its new president and chief executive officer.

Buhlke replaced former CEO and Creekstone founder John Stewart, according to a company press release.

Buhlke follows Bill McSwain, who has acted as interim CEO since October, a Creekstone official said.

Creekstone has a pending lawsuit against the USDA over the latter's refusal to allow the company to test its cattle for mad cow disease.

In November, South Korea suspended Creekstone's imports of beef after discovering a tiny bone fragment in a beef shipment.
