Connell Bros. Co. Australasia Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of Wilbur-Ellis Company, has acquired the business of Enzyme Solutions Pty Ltd based in Melbourne, Australia. 

The acquisition is a strategic fit to Connell Brothers' current business in Australasia and the Asia-Pacific region, and will expand the company's ingredient portfolio within a wide range of industries, including food, home care, animal feed and industrial applications.

"Enzymes are critical components in a wide variety of applications, and we believe that the addition of the dedicated technical and sales teams from Enzyme Solutions will strengthen our business, lead to new opportunities, and be of great value to our customers."

Enzyme Solutions has strong technical capabilities in the tailoring and blending of enzymes for various applications, with dedicated attention to quality and safety.

Barri Trotter, presently general manager for Enzyme Solutions, will be business manager for the new Connell Brothers Australasia Enzyme Solutions business unit.  Bearzatto will continue to have an active role in running the business.
