The prices of chicken kept increasing for the fourth consecutive week and touched PKR220 (US$2.44) per kilogramme. Chicken sellers said that they brought less chickens as the buyers were not buying in bulk given increasing rates. He said people were more interested in buying mutton and beef, instead of chicken.

Customers said the city district government should check chicken prices.
