Russia increases import duty for pork, poultry above quotas

 

 

The Russian government has increased the import duty for pork above the import quota set for 2008 to 60 percent but no less than EUR1 (US$1.5) a kilogramme.

 

Previously, pork duty was 50 percent but no less than EUR0.83 (US$1.2) a kilogramme, the Russian government press service said.

 

The import duty for poultry imported above the import quota increased to 60 percent but no less than EUR0.48/kg (US$0.70) from the previous duty of 50 percent but no less than EUR0.40/kg (US$0.58).

 

The import duty for beef imported above the import quota stays the same as in 2008 at 30 percent but no less than EUR0.30/kg (US$1.46).
