2 Sisters Food Group buys Lloyd Maunder
Directors of Lloyd Maunder Ltd has confirmed that the company has been purchased by 2 Sisters Food Group with plans for future investment.
Lloyd Maunder which dominates poultry production in the South West, is purchased for an undisclosed sum.
Founder and CEO of 2 Sisters Food Group, Ranjit Singh, said they are planning to develop the operation as a regional centre of excellence for specialist poultry production. Lloyd Maunder has been a leader in the UK poultry industry for five decades and they will be looking to build on that success, he said.
Singh added that they can now offer national pricing to their customers via local sourcing by acquiring Lloyd Maunder and it is good news for their carbon footprint.
Based in mid-Devon, England, Lloyd Maunder is the leading poultry producer in the South West, and one of UK's leading producers in specialist poultry. 60 percent of its chickens are reared in high welfare systems.
2 Sisters Food Group Ltd is based in the West Midlands, and is a leading European food company supplying chicken products to retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors. It also has operations in the Netherlands and the US.
