British livestock gets major export push
As restrictions on British beef exports are due to be lifted, British livestock producers will be making a concentrated effort to market their products across Europe.
The Meat and Livestock Commission (MLC) will begin a promotional push at three major shows in Poland, Romania and Germany. The shows are at Poznan, Poland on Oct 5-8; Bucharest, Romania on Nov 8-12 and Hanover, Germany on Nov 14-17.
Jean-Pierre Garnier, MLC Meat Export Manager said the expansion of the EU has given them a perfect opportunity to show the best of British produce and break into new markets. He added that at these shows, all the British meat and livestock groups will be able to support one another to create the maximum impact.
