Australia's 2013 live cattle export to Vietnam soars

In 2013, Australia exported 68,000 head of cattle to Vietnam, up from 3,500 in the previous year.

Darwin-based South East Asian Livestock Services (SEAL) said Vietnam has become the second largest importer of Australia's live cattle after Indonesia, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

SEAL predicts Vietnam will continue to remain as a promising market for Australia's live cattle export.

The Northern Territory has plans to export 60,000 head of live buffaloes annually to Vietnam.
