VIV India moves to Bangalore on February 1 - 3, 2010

Press release

After a very well received 1st edition in 2007 in New Delhi, the next VIV India will open its doors in Bangalore, from February 1-3, 2010 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bangalore, India.

VIV India truly differentiates itself from other shows: the exhibition, with its sound and solid Feed-to-Meat concept, has the finest ingredients to effectively support both newcomers and current players in their marketing objectives for India. Following the feedback of key players in India, VIV decided to move to a new location full of business opportunities:
Bangalore:

  • is the key business hub of South India's poultry and aqua production

  • offers the top location for supply and demand to find new business

  • is easy-to-reach and a nice place to stay for exhibitors and visitors due to its excellent (international) air, rail and bus links and a wide range of hotels, restaurants and fun places

Moving to February in the even years meets the industry's wish for a balanced trade show calendar in Asia-Pacific with regard to VIV Asia (March every odd year) and VIV China (autumn every year).

In 2007, VIV India attracted 3,339 high-quality visitors and 115 exhibitors from 25 countries. The visitors rated the show with a 7.9, proving the need of the Indian livestock industry for a biennial Feed-to-Meat meeting place and platform as one of today's most booming markets.
