Egg prices in Malaysia rise on lower supply
Retail prices of eggs in Malaysia have risen to a record high of 34 sen each due to lower output but are expected to ease in a few months as farmers increase their broods of chicks, The Star reported Friday.
QL Resources Bhd (7084.KU) Managing Director Chia Song Kun was quoted as saying supply has decreased while demand for eggs remained consistent and the higher prices are attracting farmers to increase their broods of chicks.
