Thailand optimistic of exporting future to Canada
The Ministry of Commence said that there is a tendency for Thailand's export to grow in Canada due to the growing number of Asians living in the country.
Director of the Office of Service Trade Promotion under the Commerce Ministry, Pramuk Montriwat, revealed that estimated trade value between Thailand and Canada in 2007 was about US$1.8 billion. Products which have been exported more to Canada include frozen shrimp, canned and processed seafood.
Pramuk said Canadians have high purchasing power and positive attitudes towards Thais and Thailand products.
He also expressed his confidence that Asians living in Canada will purchase Thai products, which will contribute to a higher trade value between the countries.
