Miratorg's 2013 feed production up 40% on-year
As the leading feed producer in 2013, Miratorg's total volume of feed production has amounted to 1.067 million tonnes last year, 40% higher than in 2012, according to a recent company report.
At the same time the company projected a further increase of feed production in 2014, as the new feed mill in Russia's Bryansk region has reached its full production capacity.
After launching in May 2013, the sophiscated feed plant grew by 25% to 1.46 million tonnes of feed per year, added the company.
The largest portion of feed production will cover the company's own livestock needs.
In 2013, Miratorg has increased the harvest of feed crops.
According to statics, the harvest rose to 512,000 tonnes, which is 73% higher than in 2012 (297,000 tonnes). Arable land under the agricultural holding has increased by 65,000 hectares last year, which amounts to 381,000 hectares, 21% higher than in 2012.
