Brazil soy exports to China down 6 percent on-year

 

 

Brazil exported 10 million tonnes of soy to China in 2007, 6 percent less than in 2006, according to grain brokerage firm Cerealpar on Monday.

 

China consumes nearly 42 percent of Brazil's total soy exports.

 

Brazil exported 23.7 million tonnes of soys in 2007, down from the record-breaking 25 million exported in calendar year 2006.

 

Brazil is the world's second largest soy exporter after the US.
