China's Hainan province reports 8-percent rise in agricultural output

 

 

Hainan province estimated its agriculture industry to reap RMB38.28 billion (US$5.2 billion) in 2007, surging by 8 percent on-year, according to the latest information from the province.

 

The growth of agricultural production in Hainan boosted the overall economy of the province. With exception of grain, other agricultural products including seafood increased in 2007. The aquaculture rose by 10.22 percent last year.
