US firms form swine alliance

US-based JBS United and Agtech Products have joined hands to bring innovations in the US and international swine markets.

Sheridan, Indiana-based JBS United announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Waukesha, Wisconsin-based Agtech Products, Inc to bring new innovations in the US and international swine arkets with offerings for other species to follow.

Under the agreement, JBS United would help in marketing and distributing direct-fed microbial swine products developed in cooperation with Agtech Products. Adsero, an all-natural, Bacillus-based premix, is the first of these products now available for the US swine market.

Adsero is fed to sows and gilts in gestation and lactation diets and meets the Food and Drug Administration's  definition of a food ingredient that is generally recognised as safe (GRAS).
