Brazil reports stable broiler production
The Brazilian Broiler Chick Producer's Association said broiler production remained virtually unchanged last year.
According to Apinco, the Brazilian Broiler Chick Producer's Association, 9.353 million tonnes of chicken were produced in 2006 a mere 0.06 percent change over last year.
Apinco says this is the smallest growth in the last decade (1997-2006). Over the past decade, Brazilian chicken production grew a total of 130 percent, an average of 8.7 percent per year.
