After being admitted to hospital, a 31-year-old doctor and a 77-year-old farmer died on Sunday (Jan 19). Health experts have announced that the bird flu virus in China has spread and the number of reported cases is expected to rise.
Thirty new cases have been discovered in the Jinjiang and Guangdong regions as well as in Shanghai since the beginning of January.
About 180 cases have been registered since a new bird flu strain was first detected in China in March, with 87 individuals having been discharged from hospitals after treatment.
