China vitamin E market weakens on slow demand

Over the past few weeks, prices fell further.

Excess supplies continued to drag down the prices of vitamin E in China. Demand wise, as overall feed production reduced during December, feed millers were prudent in procuring feed additives.

Price quotes of locally produced vitamin E fell to the range of RMB87-90/kg.

Demand for vitamin A should increase in the period leading to Chinese New Year, as buyers stockpile inventories before the country goes for the long festive break. This should lend some support to the market, but sharp hikes in prices are unlikely with supplies plentiful.
