Reduced supply, high cost underpin China chloride choline prices

Prices moved higher during the period in review.

Despite dwindling aqua feed demands, choline chloride prices strengthened of late as producers lifted quotations with raw ingredients costs on the rise. Moreover, supplies tightened as one choline chloride production plant in Shandong halted operation due to an explosion accident.

Ex-factory prices of 50-percent content choline chloride by major producers in Shandong increased to RMB5,450-5,500/tonne.

High output costs, firm pre-Chinese New Year demand, and the recent fall in supply will keep choline chloride market strong.
