Vietnamese seafood firm aims US$40 million in export revenue

 

 

Cuu Long Seafood JSC, or CuuLong Seapro, one of the biggest shrimp exporting companies in Vietnam, expects to rake in US$40 million from shipping 5,150 tonnes of prawn shrimp and pangasius fish this year.

 

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), last year CuuLong Seapro earned US$38.1 million from exporting 4,245 tonnes of prawn shrimp and pangasius fish, of which shrimp accounting for 90% of total revenues.

 

The company's director Nguyen Van Bang said that EU accounted for 35% of the company's export revenues, followed by Japan and the U.S. and 32% and 12%, respectively.

 

The company now has three processing facilities with average capacity of 30 tonnes of seafood daily.
