Quantum Foods, North Star Foods combine operations
Multi-protein processing companies North Star Foods and Quantum Foods will combine operations into a single food company.
The new company will be called Quantum Foods and will offer a diverse line of custom-menu solutions for national and regional chains including full- and quick-service restaurants.
The new firm will be able to harness the industry knowledge, technologies and expertise of the two companies, said Edward Bleka, president and CEO of Quantum Foods.
Bleka said this combination is a very bold step as they seek sustainable long-term growth and the ability to deliver the best products and service possible.
Bleka said the move will help bolster Quantum's efforts in new products development to differentiate the company from competitors.
This will also expand the array of multi-protein options, said Patrick Thesing, vice president and co-owner of North Star Foods.
North Star Foods co-owners Thesing and Brad Arndt will continue in active leadership and customer contact roles in the combined business.
