China Corn Weekly: Government procurement perks up market (week ended Jan 17, 2014)
Though corn prices in Huabei continued to slide, the northeast region gained strength as the government procurement buttressed the market. In the south, supplies from Hubei and the northeast remained ample, while demand stayed lacklustre. As a result, prices fell slightly in a few regions.
