Spain's Jealsa-Rianxeira invests US$37 million in 2011
An amount worth EUR29.1 million (US$37.7 million), up 38% on the year has been invested by Spanish canned seafood producer Jealsa-Rianxeira at the close of 2011.
As much as EUR19.8 million (US$25.7 million) of the overall sum was injected in the Barbanza region.
The pet food production plant required the biggest investment of EUR8.5 million (US$11 million).
In 2011 Jealsa-Rianxeira created 172 jobs and the workforce numbered a total 3,724 people at the end of the year, or 4.6% more compared to the figure a year earlier.
