UAE buyer buys wheat and corn

A United Arab Emirates buyer bought 25,000 tonnes of hard wheat from Europe's Baltic Sea region and 40,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat from Kazakhstan yesterday (Jan 18), according to European traders.

Some 20,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn was also purchased.

The grain was for February shipment.

The tender had sought 20,000 tonnes of hard wheat, 20,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat, 20,000 tonnes of corn and 10,000 tonnes of feed barley from optional origins.

The feed barley tender will be held on January 23, for March shipment, traders said.
