Thailand controls poultry quality amid Chinese New Year
Amidst poultry's high demand during the upcoming Chinese New Year festival 2012, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has strictly controlled quality of poultry sold in the capital.
According to an advisor to the Bangkok Governor, Sangchai Simakajorn, the BMA has prepared up to 100,000 bags labelled with digit codes for certified slaughtering houses and fowl shops to assure consumers of the safety of the poultry products, namely chicken, geese and duck meat, used for people's worships and consumption during the forthcoming Chinese New Year festival.
