North Dakota shows increase in wheat production
Supplies of spring wheat, durum wheat, and winter wheat are higher in North Dakota than they were a year ago, according to the USDA.
In addition to supply and demand, which drive supplies, above-average production in 2009 contributed to this year's strong report.
The crop this year was much better, at 55-60 bushel area, which was twice of the production a year ago, said Brian Fadness, Grain Division Manager at Horizon Resources.
