Argentinean beef exports increase substantially

Argentina's November 2009 beef exports rose 53% on-year due to higher slaughtering and rising output.

According to the latest data from agricultural health and sanitation service, Senasa, Argentina exported 54,161 tonnes of fresh and processed beef, up from 35,348 tonnes a year earlier.

Argentina, which was the world's largest beef exporter in the 1970s, was ranked seventh place in 2008, according to the USDA.
