Algeria opens 50,000 tonnes milk powder business
Algeria has issued early New Year tenders for up to 50,000 tonnes of milk powder, organised by the central purchaser, ONIL (National Interprofessional Office of Milk) for the year ahead.
Algerian demand slipped last year, according to latest customs figures for the 2012 calendar year (up until the end of November). But despite the overall 10% decline, Algeria remains one of the world's biggest importers.
