South Korea's 2009 corn imports down 19%
Corn imports by South Korea in 2009 declined 19% on-year to 7.3 million tonnes, industry data showed on Friday (Jan 15).
Corn imports for feed production, which account for around 80%, fell 21% to 5.88 million tonnes, while imports of food-grade corn also declined by 7% to 1.44 million tonnes, the data showed.
